OUR MINISTRIES

5-Day Club

5-Day Club

®

During the months of July and August, children gather in backyards, parks and other locations for five consecutive days. They hear a Bible lesson, missionary story, and participate in exciting games and activities. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is clearly presented each day in a 5-Day Club. Many children accept Jesus as their Savior during these summer Clubs.

How can you get involved in a 5-Day Club?

  • Pray about hosting a club in your neighborhood or church. For more information on hosting, please contact our office.

  • Donate towards snacks, prizes, and other club materials.

  • Pray for our clubs - for God to speak through us and for the children to be receptive to the Gospel.

Good News Club

®

Good News Club® is a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship in which trained teachers meet with groups of children in schools, homes, community centers, churches, apartment complexes, just about anywhere the children can easily and safely meet with their parent’s permission. Each week the teacher presents an exciting Bible lesson using colorful materials from CEF Press.

Good News Club is action-packed with songs, a memory verse, a missions story, and review games or other activities focused on the lesson’s theme.

Our Good News Clubs usually run from early November to the week before spring break.

How can you get involved in a Good News Club?

  • Pray about hosting an after school Good News Club with your church, Bible study group, etc. For more information on hosting, please contact our office.

  • Volunteer to teach or help at a Good News Club that is already up and running (for more information on what clubs are active, please contact our office).

  • Donate towards snacks, prizes, Bibles, and other club materials.

  • Pray for our clubs - that we can have Good News Clubs in every elementary school in our area, for the teachers and volunteers that teach, and for the children to be receptive to the Gospel and grow in their walk with the Lord.

Fair Ministry

CEF of Yakima Valley has a Story Barn at the Central Washington State Fair, where children, teens, and adults are invited to hear a brief presentation of the Gospel. Those that receive Christ are given Bibles and other helps to assist them to grow spiritually. This is our largest outreach by far and many adults stop by and tell us of when they were young and heard the Gospel and the difference God made in their lives.

How can you get involved at the Story Barn?

  • Sign up for one or more shifts as an inviter or a storyteller.

  • Your church can adopt-a-day at the Story Barn! For more information on adopt-a-day, contact our office.

  • Help us make blessing bags for the fair. Each year, we fill at least 1500 bags with Biblical tracts, crafts, and additional resources and materials for children and their families.

  • Pray as we minister to children and their families at the fair - that many of them will receive Christ as their Lord and Savior.

2026 Fair Dates:

Christian Youth in Action

Christian Youth in Action® is a summer ministry program for teens who've completed 6th grade, college students, and young adults. Beginning at our summer training camp, we give young adults the opportunity to learn effective teaching techniques and evangelistic tools used to reach children with the gospel of Christ. Everything learned at CYIA is implemented in 5-Day Clubs later in the summer. You will experience the thrill of being a soul winner as well as becoming a better teacher and Christian service worker.

At this training camp, you will receive materials to help you teach children wherever you go! Most of our trained campers serve by working in the children’s ministry at their churches, proclaiming God’s truths in Good News Clubs at public schools, and/or training additional teenagers throughout the state. In addition, our small groups, meant for studying, practicing, and implementing these materials, provide you with opportunities to partner and join in fellowship with teenagers throughout the state.

CYIA 2026
