The Story Barn
During the Central Washington State Fair in Yakima, WA, Child Evangelism Fellowship of Yakima Valley hosts the Story Barn, a booth where children, teens, and adults alike have the opportunity to come in, hear the Gospel Message, and to receive Christ as their Savior. This year, the Central Washington State Fair is September 20th - 29th.

Volunteer at the Fair
Sign up for a shift at the Story Barn! Shifts run three to three and a half hours. You can volunteer to be an inviter - greet families and people who pass by the booth and invite them to play a game and hear the Gospel Message. You can also volunteer to be a storyteller - Tell children the true Gospel Message and give them the opportunity to receive Christ as their Savior and be counseled. Volunteers receive an entry ticket for serving with us at the fair.
All volunteers are REQUIRED to complete a background screening and any CEF volunteer paperwork. You can find our volunteer paperwork here. Additionally, volunteers MUST attend a Story Barn Training prior to serving at the fair.

Help us make Blessing Bags
Each year, we make 'Blessing Bags' for children and their families to take home from the fair. Each bag is filled with crafts, tracts, and Biblical resources so that each child can have the Gospel at their fingertips. We also provide Bibles, candy, and small goodies at the fair that children can take home with them. Join us in the office to put together 'Blessing Bags', or make a donation towards our 'Blessing Bag' materials!
You could also have a group at your church help put together blessing bags! Schedule a time and date today!

Have your Church "Adopt-A-Day" at the Story Barn!
You can invite your Church family to claim a whole day to serve at the Story Barn! Church members can strengthen their skills in evangelism and community outreach! Churches can also provide brochures for children and families to take home. We need 2 or more volunteers per shift, and each day consists of 3 or 4 shifts.
You can also have other church ministry groups, such as youth or young adults "Adopt-A-Day" at the Story Barn!
